One year anniversary
It is now one year since we began the school with 25 students. In 12 months, we have taught 660 hours and heard many reports from pastors testifying that their churches are growing again. Others have testimonies of healing and divine provision. Many have come to understand and appreciate the love and mercy of our Heavenly Father.
One of our students is Pastor Kaloki from a small village on the north coast. During the weeks of school, he works 12 hours night shifts, comes to school in the day, does his assignments, and preaches in his church in the evening before going back to work. The commitment level of many here amazes us.
Abraham Mati was often dealing with sicknesses. Last time we were in Kanamai, he received the Word and was healed from urinating blood. This time he came and told us how he has not been sick a day since. Last week Thor taught the students to expect a return and never to give up in Prosperity class. During that week, a factory was hiring 100 new employees. There were 600 people in line outside the gate in the morning and Abraham was towards the end of the line. When they opened the gate, they let in the first 100 and told the rest go home. But Abraham was left behind at the gate. Another applicant came out the gate with an extra copy of an application. But Abraham was not inside to hear the instructions. So he asked a manager how to fill it. The manager took him in, filled the application for him, and hired him as a manager. Now he is earning double the normal workers wages!!
One night we showed Mel Gibson’s “The Passion” in a small village. Once the screen was up, people started coming, and soon there were 500 people watching, many of them seeing a film for their first time. After the alter call, we recorded the names of 50 people who gave their lives to Jesus. There have been many crusades in the cities in Kenya, but there is still lots of work to do in the villages.
Ministers’ Conference Tomorrow
After 2 days of rest, we start teaching at a minister’s conference in Kisumu tomorrow. Pray for strength and that we will speak those words God wants us to speak.
