We send you greetings from Mombasa this time. This week, we are finishing the second module here at Kenya’s coast. The students are very excited to learn more about the Word of God, and many have been looking forward to this week’s teachings about ‘The Authority of the Believer.’ This is a big issue here since pastors have to deal with witchcraft on a daily basis.
In the middle of our second module here in Mombasa, we received some wonderful testimonies we wanted to share with you:
“On Saturday, I had a sudden illness in my body and had blood in my urine. At first, I was afraid and decided to go to the hospital. They did not find anything and sent me home. We had not covered the lesson about healing yet, but you had mentioned a few things concerning faith. On Sunday morning it was even worse so I decided to take a step of faith. I told my body that the Word of God says in 1 Pet 2:24 that by the stripes of Jesus I am healed. When I got to church, the pastor asked all the sick to come forward to be prayed for. I thought ‘It is the sick that needs to be prayed for. I am not sick, I am healed!’ On Monday morning I was much better, and now I am completely well. Praise God!” -Abraham Mati
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” But how are they to call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Rom 10:13-15
“God has given me courage through the teachings of this school. I know my rights now and I can also use the Bible verses to remind God of His promises. I did not know how to read the Bible correctly, but now I do. I also understand things that I did not understand before. Recently, my husband was nearly dying. Instead of crying, I started praying and reminding God that to die is normal, but to live is our right. I quoted the Scriptures and my husband received his healing. When my daughter had financial problems and wanted me to send her money (which I did not have,) I read the scriptures that say we and our children are blessed. I told God I believed He was going to take care of my children. My daughter and her husband received the help they needed. I thank God for the work of this school, for we are now able to pray correctly.”
Thank you all for helping us both financially and in prayer. The students are ever grateful for the opportunity to learn the Word of God, and we are beginning to see some results of how the teachings are changing lives and churches. It is truly more blessed to give than to receive!
In two weeks, we will be back in Kisumu starting a crusade with evangelist Trond Jacobsen from Australia.
