EPILOGUE
Preface
Imagine people who have grown up in unfortunate circumstances, seemingly without opportunities, and not having much hope in life. It is marvelous to see them start to understand the principles of growth and success, start applying them, and then come out of those circumstances that seemed hopeless.
Many have dreams and will often spend years wishing for them to come to pass, but as time goes on, the hope of those dreams often fade. It is amazing to see such people start to understand the principles that make dreams come to pass and start moving visions from the realm of hope into reality.
Over the years, my wife, Cathrine, and I have seen countless stories of those who have started understanding the principles of success, growth, and building the future. When those principles are believed and action is taken, the future of personal lives, businesses, churches, schools, and entire communities can be dreamed, planned, designed, and purposefully built.
Cathrine and I have lived, worked, traveled, and ministered on three continents. The challenges that face humanity are the same everywhere. There are people all over the globe who wish they were in a different position in life. People want their circumstances, surroundings, and life situations to be better. The answers to humanity’s problems are the same everywhere. We have spent the last decade and a half teaching principles that help people come out of poverty, make dreams come true, and form circumstances that make a different future both for themselves and those around them.
God told Joshua that if he would think, speak, and act according to God’s Word, he would be successful (Joshua 1:8). Jesus told us that if we would hear His Word and act upon it, we would be able to stand the storms of life (Matthew 7:24–25). Solomon was the richest man there was, and he wrote a book—the book of Proverbs—filled with the principles of success.
The fork in the road is a choice. My desire is for your future to be better, so I am sharing the principles I have found to work with you. Choose the high road.
God bless you.
– Vidar
Some Quotes From a Fork in the Road
“God is a good God and He wants His people blessed. To try to argue that He doesn’t want His people blessed is either a gross ignorance of Scripture or a hypocritical attack on His nature as a good Father.”
“Life does not just happen. God has given us instructions to follow, and what we do with those instructions will greatly impact our futures.”
“What we need is churches filled with people who are themselves blessed, generous, and have the means to be major influencers in their societies.”
“The day you stop the journey of making constant improvements, that will be the day you set the level you will live on for the rest of your life. There is no glass ceiling or cap to how far you can go. You only set that cap the day you think I am not willing to grow further, because I would rather have my current comfort level than to go through the pain of improving more habits and growing further. We all have the potential to be gold, but there is a price to pay.”
“There is no real success if our lives aren’t full of meaningful relationships.”
